Book Reviews

What a great week we had reviewing books! Each student was given a book to read and write a review on. The covers turned out wonderful. They will be on display for parents to see at open house. The students worked really hard on them.

Busy Second graders!

We have been busy second graders. In reading we have been doing an author study on Robert Munsch. Aaron's Hair, and Alligator Baby activities are listed below. We have read several of his books and learned about him and  his life.

During math we have been finding the area of shapes. We drew robots and found the area of the different parts to them.

We have also been learning about multiple meaning words. These are words that have more than one meaning.

The US Regions is what we have been talking about in Social Studies. The students learned that the United States has 5 regions. They worked in groups to learn about their region and then present it to the class.
