Happy Thanksgiving
I can't believe that it's already Thanksgiving. I am thankful for every student and their contribution to our class family. Below are some pictures of us making our turkeys. After we made the turkey we wrote different things we are thankful for on each feather . Friday was our first Celebration of Learning. We recognized three students for Hippest in the House. I hope you all enjoy your Thanksgiving week with your friends and families.

It's already October!
I can't believe that it is already October. Time is flying by and we are busying learning many new things in second grade. We have been focusing on place value in math. We colored a pumpkin with the four ways to write a number in them.
We got to FaceTime our classmate Korban today. We were so excited to see him and hope he comes to visit us soon. The students and Korban took turns asking questions to eachother then Korban read us a book. He did such a great job and the students liked hearing about Clifford the Dogs Halloween.

Career and College Week
Last week was college and career week. Malia's dad came and spoke to us about his job at Game Stop. He even brought us some goodies! Then, Alec's mom came and told us all about her experience at University of Arkansas. We learned to do the hog call and went home with information about the university. Later in the week, we discussed what we want to be when we grow up. The students each took a picture holding up a sign for what they want to be. The pictures are below. Enjoy!
